LOTTIE LEADS BY TWO AS MORE HISTORY BECKONS

July 26, 2025

England’s Lottie Woad further cemented her arrival on the professional scene with a stunning -5 (67) to maintain her two shot lead into the final day of the ISPS HANDA Women’s Scottish Open.

Six bogeys with just one blemish a bogey on the Par 3 15th, ensured Woad takes a 2 shot lead over Korean Sei Young Kim and Denmark’s Nanna Koerstz Madsen into the last day of her first professional tournament. Woad’s iron play was the star of the show, only missing two greens in regulation, the Par 3 4th and 15th.

Woad said of her third round 67…

“I think I’ve been pretty solid tee-to-green. I hit a lot of greens again today and probably the best tee-to-green compared to the last two days. Just didn’t hole maybe as many putts but generally had hit a lot of good putts. So can’t complain too much.”

On how she will approach tomorrow…

“Just going to try to shoot low as possible and keep giving myself chances. If someone shoots the lights out, fair enough.”

There is strong chasing pack who all had good days on the course. The 2020 PGA Champion Sei Young Kim shot a -6 (66) including her third eagle of the week on the Par 5 14th.

Round of the day went to Hye-Jin Choi who went bogey-free for a 65 to vault up the leaderboard.

Choi on her 3rd round 65…

“I mean, today was bogey-free round, so it was pretty solid. Then my shot was really good today. So better than last two days. So that’s why I play really well, yeah.”

World No.1 Nelly Korda carded a 2-under 70, which included 14 straight 14 straight pars.

On her round today…

“Yeah, bogey-free, definitely missed a couple more greens. Wasn’t hitting it probably as good as I was the first two days. But there was a tiny bit of a different wind direction.

Yeah, three-putted one of the par 5s for par. That kind of always stings a little bit. But other than that, I made some really good par saves and just didn’t really capitalise on some of my good shots. But that’s golf. That’s okay. I still have tomorrow.”

It is all set to be a super sunday at Dundonald.

Tickets are still available to buy here online and on the gate. Adults for £17, U23 £12 and U16 Free.
