THE FIELD IS SET FOR THE 2025 ISPS HANDA WOMEN’S SCOTTISH OPEN

Entries have now closed for the ISPS HANDA Women’s Scottish Open, which is set to feature an impressive lineup of talent at Dundonald Links, July 24 – 27.  The star-studded line-up boasts 4 of the World’s top 10 players, 15 major winners with 23 championships, 33 LPGA Tour winners and 43 LET Winners with a combined total of 223 titles, and 21 Solheim Cup players.

The major champions in this year’s field collectively hold 23 titles, featuring three of the most recent major winners Grace Kim who secured her maiden major title at the Amundi Evian Championship this month. Minjee Lee who secured her third. major title at last month’s KPMG Women’s PGA Championship and the 2025 US Open winner Maja Stark. Other notable major winners include current World No.1 Nelly Korda, who has won two majors, three-time champion and European Solheim Cup captain Anna Nordqvist; 2022 Women’s Scottish Open champion Ayake Furue, who claimed her maiden major at the 2024 Amundi Evian Championship and Amy Yang, who won her maiden title at the 2024 KPMG Women’s PGA Championship.

This year’s line-up features numerous players making their debut at the year’s ISPS HANDA Women’s Scottish Open, including amateur sensation who will be making her Professional debut Lottie Woad. Woad captured her maiden LET title at the recent KPMG Irish Open and followed it up with a stunning T3 at the Amundi Evian Championship, where she held the clubhouse lead, eventually finishing just one shot back of the play-off.

Last year, Woad claimed three late birdies to land the prestigious Augusta National Women’s Amateur, on the eve of the men’s Masters, in thrilling fashion. She also finished T10 at last year’s Women’s Open at St Andrews to win the Smyth Salver, the prize for the best amateur performance.

There are 30 nationalities represented in the field, with Scotland’s own Gemma Dryburgh leading the home contingent. The Aberdeen native won the Jock MacVicar Leading Scot award the past three editions.

Dryburgh added: “It’s always a special week at the ISPS HANDA Women’s Scottish Open. Having all my family and friends there to support me, as well as playing in front of the Scottish crowd, is so much fun. I’ve been working hard and feeling good about my game, so I’m really looking forward to being back in Scotland and embracing the unique challenge of links golf.”

She will be up against some fierce competition this year, with another young starlet making her professional debut in her home open, Hannah Darling.Darling enters the professional ranks with a decorated amateur career. Currently ranked No.20 in the World Amateur Golf Rankings, and having previously reached a high of No.11, she was a key member of the Great Britain & Ireland Curtis Cup teams in 2021, 2022, and the victorious 2024 side. Just last week, she played a key role in helping the GB&I team secure victory at the 2025 Valigano Trophy in the Netherlands.

The 2025 ISPS HANDA Women’s Scottish Open marks the second year with ISPS HANDA as the title sponsor and will be held at Dundonald Links for the fourth consecutive year. The tournament returned to this venue in 2022 after a £25 million makeover by owners Darwin Escapes to transform the club into one of the UK’s finest golf resorts. It was also previously held there in 2015, 2016 and 2017. The Scottish Government and VisitScotland also continue to be long-standing supporters of women’s golf, with a strong commitment to the Women’s Scottish Open.
