The co-sanctioned Trust Golf Women’s Scottish Open is an integral part of the golfing calendar, sitting on both the Ladies European Tour and the LPGA.

First staged in 1986, the Women’s Scottish Open is played with a full 156-strong player field. The event underlines Scotland’s commitment to growing women’s golf.

In 2020, the Women’s Scottish Open was played at The Renaissance Club and was won by the USA’s Stacy Lewis who claimed her thirteenth LPGA Tour title with a thrilling final round.

Previous winners include Ariya Jutanugarn, Mi Jung Hur, Mi Hyang Lee, Isabelle Boineau, Rebecca Artis, Trish Johnson as well as Scotland’s Carly Booth and Catriona Matthew who is a double winner.

In 2021, the Women’s Scottish Open features a new name, having been known as the Ladies Scottish Open since being established in 2007. The event will also be taking place at a brand-new venue in Dumbarnie Links from 12-15 August.

Trust Golf, part of the TCT Corporation, will title sponsor the Women’s Scottish Open this year, giving the prestigious event a major boost alongside a new long-term commitment from the Scottish Government.
